Today I will write about Vienna and my experience visiting this beautiful city. Vienna is the capital city of Austria. It is located in the East of Austria and it close to Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary as well. It is the cultural an economic center of Austria and its language is germane.
Vienna has a musical legacy; the more important are Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart, Ludwig Van Beethoven, Franz Schubert, Johannes Brahms, Gustav Mahler and Arnold Schoenberg. Some people would call it as a “The city of Dreams”, accordingly it was hometown of Sigmund Freud. In the city center we can find Baroque castles, gardens, monuments and parks. Also we can find Romanesque, classicist, art nouveau, and modern architecture. There is a place that receives many tourist visits it is The Hundertwasserhaus, it building was designed by Friedensreich Hundertwasser.
Regarding with my travel partners I were to Vienna with my friend Yenny and her boyfriend, how they speak germane I had any problem understanding however sometimes I could speak in English. We traveled by car, it was not a long journey from Munich from my point of view, thus my friends were so tired. I enjoyed the scenery and landscape while we were coming to Vienna even so it was in winter season it was breathtaking view, as far as I remembered it.
As far as concerned, Vienna is an elegant, lovely, attractive and admirable city. I could feel as an elegant woman, actually I amJ. As I said before I went to this place with some friends, they found strange that I wanted to visit the cemetery; it was the only point to discuss in our trip. I just wanted to see the Mozart tomb, in fact I did not know why! I just felt that I had to visit, and then they agreed with me. When we arrived I started to seek for Mozart tomb and I found it. I was happy and I wanted to feel the wise energy from this place. Some people may disagree with me but I could feel it, I was fulfilled.
Afterwards we had a look around the city center, drinking a delicious chocolate, and listening classical music. I remembered St. Stephen’s Cathedral, Stephansplatz, Belvedere Palace, Austrian Parliament Building, Kunsthistorisches Museum, Rathaus, Vienna State Opera and Albertina as well.
I loved being in Los Roques. This place is breathtaking; out of this world. Can you believe? I have never been in “Los Roques” until 2010, when I decided to visit it. I was so tired for my job; I needed to take a break. So, I started to search a tourism agency to buy a weekend book. When finally I found one, I bought it immediately. First, I took a really small airplane; I have to say I was absolutely scared. I felt we could have fallen down, however nothing happen. And, I enjoyed the awe-inspiring view from the air. I thought what amazing Venezuela could be!
Los Roques is located in the North of Venezuela. In my opinion you never regret to visit if you decide to go there. This is a park consisting in about 350 small islands. Te bigger one is “El Gran Roque” where I stayed and it has tourism structure, such a hotel, and airport, so on. I spent in “Los Roques archipelago” three days it was not enough but I was satisfied with this experience. The first day, I had visited Madrisqui. It is spectacular, the color of the ocean, the white sand, the sound. The second day, I had taken a long trip to visit “Cayo de Agua” and “Crasqui”. Both were absolutely marvelous. In Cayo de Agua, I felt in other world, relaxed between two coastlines. Magnificent is the word could put into words what I saw.
The Third day, I visited to Francisqui, it is as a swimming pool, beautiful, and enjoyable.
There are a lot of activities you can do if you choose it such as snorking, diving, windsurfing, and kite surfing. To people who just to want to enjoy the landscape, the coastline, as me, it is a must visit. The weekend I stayed there I could see the full moon at night I fall in love it was a deep moments. I could have seen for all night it, I learn one time more there is no ordinary moment.
To begin, I have been in Barcelona twice in my lifetime; the first one was in December 2010, and the second one February 2013. Both were absolutely amazing experience. Furthermore, I fall in love how the public space is; such as Ramble and its coastline is. Barcelona is considered the second important city in Spain. Barcelona was a walled city. Industrial revolution Barcelona increase economic it allow to become in a relevant city.
I have some friend living there, and they were my host in that moment. In addition, Karla was my favorite guide, she knew everyplace and their history, maybe, because she is an architect and she is really interested in. While Rodolfo knew a little bit more about “Ciutat Vella” though he is an engineer. Undoubtedly, I learn too many things about my life; this implies that I recognized how my energy was managed. Namely, I cannot control what others think about me, so I can only control what I choose to believe about myself. In fact, I do not have and will never have control over what others think of me. However I always could take charge of what I think about myself.
In my opinion when I travel I get a step to learn deeply more about myself and it is always an enjoyable journey! As well as I enjoy “Sagrada Familia”, “Parc Guell”, “Ramble”, “Sants-Mont Juic”, “Vila Gracia”, Diagonal Avenue, “Passeig de Sant Joan”, “Gracia”, “Palau de la Música Catalana” delicious food, nightlife, and so on.
Santa Maria del Mar, made me remain to my father, he was a fisherman and I thought if my father could have came with my, maybe He would have appreciated it. Also, I could visited some museum including, The Foundation Joan Miró, Picasso Museum, Barcelona Museum of Contemporary Art (Designed by Richard Meier), and National Museum of Art of Catalonia. Moreover, Barcelona has many park, such as Montjuic, Parc de la Ciutadella, Park Guel, Diagonal Mar Park, and Poblenou Park.
Turning to my trips, when I arrived to Barcelona I meet with two friends Raquel and Karla. Raquel was spending her holidays as me. In that moment, Karla was living there. As can be expected we spent beautiful days walking around Barcelona, and chatting about how our life was going in. I remember a Saturday night my friends told me go out to a party, and I said off course go for it! Then, I never listened when Karla had tried to wake up, unfortunately I could do it. I was exhausted for a long trip from Munich.
To conclusion, I would like to say Barcelona is an out of the ordinary city, it could call a Global City, because I could see their different historical moment that show to me how this city had changed a long.
Boston has many meaning for me. It was a dream, a goal, new friends, English speaking experience, new culture, and new challenge.
Boston is the capital of the U.S state of Massachusetts, and it was founded in 1630 by Puritan colonist from England. Its nicknamed is “The walking City”. This was a student travel, because I needed to do an internship to get my Urban Design degree that I was studying in Venezuela Central University. It was a wonderful opportunities to me in many aspects. Thought I got clarity about what I would like to be in the following years. My best roommate was Adriana; actually I am grateful for having her as a friend nowadays. We did the project internship together and 18 was our qualification. Back Bay was place to do that project, we had written about its urban spaces, streets, how building conform the urban border.
Back Bay has Victorian brownstone homes and it is considered one of the best-preserved examples of 19th century urban design in the United States. It was influenced by Haussmann’s renovation of Paris. Numerous notable building you can find there as a Trinity Church, The John Hancock Tower, Boston Public Library.
As a part internship we had to give a speech to Fenway Community. My student group was conforming for Carola, Abigail, Adriana, Isabella and I. Carola was who gave that because she could speak in English very well. Carola did a very well done job, in my opinion.
We visited the Harvard University, and we could see a final project term I really enjoyed it. Also I looked up the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Boston University. I thought Oh my god in this place I would like to study I felt amused.
The day before I came back to Venezuela, had started to snow a little bit as you can imagine I was really impressed it was my first time I saw the snow.
Everyday my friend made me talk in English they did not help sometimes; they said that I had to practice my English. While I was studying Urban Design I studied English as well. I finished it maybe a year after. I usually did talk with my boyfriend who is not anymore! That’s life.
The picture where I am it was taken by Adriana Luis, my lovely friend!
