There are always more you can write about Paris

If you ask me which city I remember with love, I would tell you without doubt Paris. This city makes me cry; because it was the first city I have been in Europe. I stayed in a hostel called as far as I remember “Absolute”, quite close to la Bastille. Well the worst thing was I had to share my room with other 3 people. I was a little bit nervous, you know here in Venezuela is not easy to do it, and actually, I never could do it here, maybe with your friends. However, I was surprised because they were very respectful, kind, and friendly person so I could share and talk with them.

Paris for me is love, beautiful, culture, vibrant city. Maybe for you it is so stupid but when I went to have a walk the following day I started to cried, while I was walking on the streets. That moment was absolutely AMAZING, SUPERB; I could not believe I was there. Then I smiled to everybody that I met. As a city, it is a walk able, bright city. Building in Paris has been controlled by laws associated to the height and shape of buildings at least since the 17th century.

One of my favourite streets is “The Champs-Élysées” that is a 17th century avenue between the Place de la Concorde and the Napoleonic Arc de Triumphed. For a day, I walked from La Defense to Louvre Museum until 10:00 pm. In this way I could see amazing landmark as an Arc de Triomphe.

Eichstatt ¿city or town?

Eichstatt for me has everything that need a city. It is cute, small, and well-doing town. Besides,  it is a capital of the District of Eichstatt, aditionally, it is home to the Katholische Universitat Eichstatt-Ingolstadt, the lone Catholic university in Germany.

I visited this town with Yenny a friend who is married with a Mihael. He is a german man, and his parent are living in Eichastatt. So, I was in London before I came to Germany, and I was so tired to walk and walk in London, because I wanted to know every place I could visit. Well, when I arrived to Munich my friend Yenny said to me, that we would spent Merry Christman with parent’s Mihael, and I did not this before. The journey was amazing, the scenary and landscape, were breaktaking for me.

Parents’ Mihael were so cute, kind, lovely, really I felt like at home, with my father and mother. I taste a lot kind of beer from germany, I went to Merry Christmas’s mass, we had dinner and then talking about my life, their life and germany. It was a marvelous moment.

I grateful for this experience, I changed my mind about germany people, because I thought they are so close, but not.

If you want to visit a quite place and know germany people, let’s go to Eichstatt!

Boston… First snow

Charles River

Boston has many meaning for me. It was a dream, a goal, new friends, English speaking experience, new culture, and new challenge.

Boston is the capital of the U.S state of Massachusetts, and it was founded in 1630 by Puritan colonist from England. Its nicknamed is “The walking City”. This was a student travel, because I needed to do an internship to get my Urban Design degree that I was studying in Venezuela Central University. It was a wonderful opportunities to me in many aspects. Thought I got clarity about what I would like to be in the following years. My best roommate was Adriana; actually I am grateful for having her as a friend nowadays. We did the project internship together and 18 was our qualification. Back Bay was place to do that project, we had written about its urban spaces, streets, how building conform the urban border.

Back Bay has Victorian brownstone homes and it is considered one of the best-preserved examples of 19th century urban design in the United States. It was influenced by Haussmann’s renovation of Paris. Numerous notable building you can find there as a Trinity Church, The John Hancock Tower, Boston Public Library.

Marvelous moments

As a part internship we had to give a speech to Fenway Community. My student group was conforming for Carola, Abigail, Adriana, Isabella and I. Carola was who gave that because she could speak in English very well. Carola did a very well done job, in my opinion.

We visited the Harvard University, and we could see a final project term I really enjoyed it. Also I looked up the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Boston University. I thought Oh my god in this place I would like to study I felt amused.

The day before I came back to Venezuela, had started to snow a little bit as you can imagine I was really impressed it was my first time I saw the snow.

Everyday my friend made me talk in English they did not help sometimes; they said that I had to practice my English. While I was studying Urban Design I studied English as well. I finished it maybe a year after. I usually did talk with my boyfriend who is not anymore! That’s life.

The picture where I am it was taken by Adriana Luis, my lovely friend!

Firenze… warm place

P1050501Firenze was my first stop in December 2012, when I visited Italy. I could not believe that I was there, because, when I was studying architecture my architecture history’s teacher always told us: “Architect had to visit at least one time Italy, If you did not do it you were not architect”. At that moment I thought, now I could not go there however, I would go, I do know how, but I would go.

I felt how I knew every street every building in Firenze. I remember the smell, the sound, I just was enjoyed every moment that I lived there. Ohhh off course I met to really handsome Italian men. He was working in a restaurant where I had a dinner, and he was funny, friendly, and nice. He invited to me to go out for dance, I accepted. However, we never met, I fell sleep that night, I was really tired.

To return to the subject, when I arrived, it was snowing a little bit, it was so could, and left my baggage in my room, I went out to walk around. I bought a boot and gloves which I still have. My colleague Nanda, recommended to me an ice cream shop, where every afternoon I visited to buy a small one! So taste, so delicious.

Since Firenze I had visited Sienna and Pisa, how urban designer student I researched about those cities, for this reason I think I always felt I had been there. What’s more I remembered when I was walking every place. It was marvelous.

Everybody knows that you can take a picture to “David”, by the way, I took my picture. This is a masterpiece of Renaissance sculpture created between 1501 and 1504, by Michelangelo.
